On October 17, 2018, the Solano Commission for Women and Girls held their initial meeting. Commissioners were appointed by their respective representatives of the six cities in Solano County as well as their respective representatives on the Solano County Board of Supervisors.
The Commission was the collective idea of several prominent women in Solano County: Dr. Frances McCullough, Suisun Mayor Lori Wilson, Jennifer Barton, Rochelle Sherlock, and President of the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce Elease Cheek, name a few. The following video features three of the founding mothers of the Solano Commission for Women and Girls and their vision for the Commission.
